The Outcomes on 30 March 2009

After they have finished all both activity, I took some photos to portrait their achievement in my blog. You've done a GOOD JOB my students...

Basically, the pupils were divided into 4 groups. Two groups were doing Activity No.1, "learn how to use digital camera and transfer it to PC". Another 2 groups were doing Activity No.2 where they need to learn practically on how modem works. They were given step-by-step instruction and diagrams to be followed. Please refer the lesson plan. The activity would be forwarded to next lesson where pupils need to swap.



They are able to work collaborately and do discussion or brainstorming before making a decision. Very impressive!!

Today's lesson allow students to explore and make use their current knowledge to create a Malay compostition with different style of texts. I was expected them to ask me a lot of questions on how to underline, bold, change font colours, font size, italic font during the lesson development. So above documents shows some of year 5 students' work.

Maths Lesson Plan - 09 February 2009

This was my first teaching period in SR Beribi Telanai. The assistant principal had assigned me to work with Ckg Mahani, the only ICT teacher and would be my cooperating teacher. I was instructed to observe the first two weeks on ICT classes which were conducted by Ckg Mahani. Today, on 9th Feb 2009, i began my teaching with Year 5 students only. I would be only allowed to conduct ICT classes next 16th February 2009. So most of the first two weeks, I was observing on how she taught her students.

Malay Language

Start from today, I was asked to teach Malay Language by using ICT for Year 5. The Malay teacher had instructed me to read questions while the students needed to type it including with the correct answers. They were allowed to discuss, modify and design the style of the text in any format as long as they could finish it on required time. After everyone had finished their work, each groups were swapped with each other to check and correct their friends' work. I was just facilitated them to correct and explain a little bit on how it could be done. The 3 best groups would be gathered in front of the class while the teacher explained to the rest of the students on why those groups were being selected. Therefore, this activity will allow students to practise their typing abilities as well as developing their skills.
